Domestic charging points are being installed in homes across the region, making it even easier for drivers to make that switch to low carbon vehicles. Get a home charger for your electric vehicle absolutely free by taking part in the Charge your Car trial.
The offer
We purchase a POD Point charging point and smart meter.
You pay approx £400 towards installation and take part in our trial.
Benefits of home chargers
The new domestic chargers communicate directly with the vehicle and therefore perform all the necessary safety checks before any power is transferred – making charging at home much safer. The chargers are quicker too - reducing charging time by 20% - 50% depending on the vehicle.
What you need to know
Anyone taking advantage of the home charger offer, must agree to participate in trials as part of the Charge your Car project. This will involve agreeing to provide ongoing feedback and sharing usage data, such as start and stop time and the amount of energy used, with the project. This will help us to propose improvements for the future of EV charging. All data sharing will be done remotely.
